Of the three states I’ve lived in, all three had gubernatorial elections yesterday. In two, incumbent Republicans were seeking re-election and won handily. In the third, the Republican incumbent was denied his party’s nomination for a second term, but the Republican nominee did win.
When Sarah Palin was nominated to run against former Gov. Tony Knowles (D) in Alaska, I was pretty sure Knowles would walk right over her. I was wrong, and I won’t complain about it.
