...though I probably won’t be getting one, at least not right away.
Georgia license plates are about to get a whole lot more colorful.
Department of Revenue Commissioner Bart Graham said Thursday he is preparing to roll out new blue, gold and white license plates next spring that eventually will be on the back sides of more than 5 million Georgia cars.
The standard plates with blue backgrounds will replace the “Georgia on my mind” and “Georgia.gov” plates used during the past decade.
The plates, designed by Graham and his staff, will include a gold state seal, with three white numbers or letters on each side of the seal. Some may have seven characters instead of six, depending on where the car is registered, he said.
“Georgia.gov” will be located on top of the plate, with the “O” in “Gov.“ replaced by the Department of Economic Development’s multi-colored peach logo.» AJC: New Georgia license plates have more color
On my truck I have a wildlife tag depicting a bald eagle with an American flag backdrop, and I doubt they’re going to offer the same design on the new tags. Wifey-Ki-Yay’s current tag, on the other hand, will certainly become available on the new base.
