As so often happens when somebody “upgrades” a service that works perfectly well, SiteMeter turned their hit-counter service into something completely unusable.
I don’t get more than 150 uniques per day anyway, so it’s not as if having a count showing on the page was ever doing me any good. Scroom.
On the other hand, Site Meter has like totally CAVED to our mighty rants, and gone meekly back to the way things were. I expect much future groveling from them.
First that bird got fixed at Dustbury, now this. It may finally be the right time to go after Al Gore.
I spent a whole ten minutes trying to work with that new interface; they just took too damn long reversing themselves, by which time I’d already canceled my account.
I have better things I could have done with those ten minutes than wrestle with a website that tracks my non-existent traffic.
