If anyone ever tells you that Sen. 0bama is “the 44th President-Elect,“ kindly correct them. In actual fact, there have been only 35 presidents-elect including 0bama—while Grover Cleveland counts as two because of his non-consecutive terms, Presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Calvin Coolidge, Harry Truman and Lyndon Johnson were incumbents at the time of their respective elections.
And of course Presidents Tyler, Fillmore, Andrew Johnson, Arthur and Ford were never elected president at all.
